Shelton Named 2025 Indiana Clerk of the Year by Indiana Clerks’ Association

Knox County Clerk and 2026 Republican candidate for Indiana Secretary of State David Shelton has once again been honored by his peers, receiving the 2025 Indiana Clerk of the Year award from the Indiana Clerks’ Association.

Shelton, who was recognized at the association’s annual conference this week, is now the first three-time recipient of the award—having been nominated nine times and earning the honor in 2020, 2023, and 2025.

During his tenure as Knox County Clerk, Shelton has led numerous election reforms and modernizations, including transitioning the county to Vote Centers.
