Florida Man Returned to Knox County to Face Escape Charge

A Florida man has been returned to Knox County to face an escape charge for allegedly removing a monitoring device from his body.

54-year-old Billy Whittaker of Ocoee, Florida was arrested on a Knox County escape warrant in Hopkins County Kentucky.

He has been returned to Knox County to face that charge as well as a charge of Operating While Intoxicated.

Whittaker is being held without bond in the Knox County Jail.
