The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of a car involved in a rollover crash on Monday morning is facing drug and other charges.
33-year-old Karl Wayne Horton of Bicknell ran off South Decker Road near Essex Road.
The sheriff’s office says although Horton showed no signs of injury when deputies arrived, he appeared to be impaired.
After Horton refused to submit to a chemical test at the scene, a warrant was obtained for the test.
A clear plastic bag with a white substance that tested positive for methamphetamine was located over the driver’s sun visor.
Horton was transported to the hospital for clearance and then to jail, where he was booked in for Operating While Intoxicated with Endangerment, OWI Refusal, and Possession of Methamphetamine.
