Huntingburg Police Department Mourns the Loss of K-9 Ester

The Huntingburg Police Department is mourning the passing of retired K-9 Ester.

Ester, who was 11 years old, retired in 2022 after nearly seven years of service.

She began her career with the Huntingburg Police Department in 2015, demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication in both patrol and detection work.

Following her retirement, her handler, Officer Cody Byrd, welcomed Ester into his family, where she enjoyed her well-earned retirement.
