The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says a Washington teenager died Saturday night when the pick-up truck he was working on fell off its jacks and pinned him underneath the vehicle.
The accident happened around 9:00 PM at 20-94 West 300 North.
A nearby forklift was used to lift the vehicle to remove 16-year-old Cooper Schuckman from underneath it.
Police say their initial investigation shows that Schuckman and a friend were working on the vehicle which was jacked up on two air jacks that were on blocks and one floor jack.
As they were attempting to remove a part off the vehicle, the weight shifted, and the vehicle fell off the jacks and onto Schuckman.
