The CDC, FDA and public health officials in several states, including Indiana and Illinois, are investigating a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Infections linked to eggs.
In Indiana, the eggs were sold at Walmart.
Seventy-nine people across seven states have gotten sick with the same outbreak strain of Salmonella that has been tied to eggs.
So far 21 people have been hospitalized, and no deaths have been reported.
On Friday, August Egg Company based in Hilmar, California recalled over a million-dozen brown cage free and brown certified organic eggs due to potential salmonella contamination.
