Seymour Attorney Arrested on Multiple Charges Related to Theft and Tax Evasion

A Seymour attorney was arrested Tuesday on multiple felony counts of corrupt business influence, theft, and tax evasion.

Indiana State Police say 45-year-old Jason Smith owned Smith Law Services and Floyd Harris Holdings, LLC and failed to pay taxes on millions of dollars deposited into the accounts of both entities.

The investigation determined that Smith used those accounts for making numerous personal purchases.

Smith is charged with one count of Corrupt Business Influence, five counts of Tax Evasion, five counts of Theft, and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
