Indiana’s bird flu outbreak is over, according to state officials.
The Indiana State Board of Animal Health announced Thursday that the last case of the highly pathogenic avian influenza was reported on May 2nd.
The agency says an outbreak is declared over after no new infections have been found after 28-days, and the disease is eliminated from the affected farms.
State officials say there is still a risk of bird flu because there are still cases in other states.
