Governor Holcomb Says He Won’t Pardon Former Sheriff Jamey Noel

Governor Eric Holcomb says he will not pardon former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel.

Holcomb was asked about that in a virtual Zoom press conference from Slovakia on Friday after Noel pled guilty to 27 felonies last week.

The governor says “it will be a question for a successor.”

Noel led Holcomb’s campaign in 2016 and attended the inauguration of President Donald Trump at the invitation of former Governor Mike Pence, who served as Trump’s vice president.
