An Indiana Conservation Officer is being credited with saving a life after helping rescue a woman from a burning home.
ICO Kendrick Fuhrman was on patrol Monday afternoon when he responded to a call of a house fire in the 800 block of High Street in the town of Shoals.
One of the first to arrive on scene, Fuhrman was told by bystanders that people were still inside the home.
He found a man and woman when he entered the burning home.
The woman needed help getting out of the home, and Fuhrman and the man assisted her in doing so before flames engulfed the house.
After ensuring the occupants were a safe distance from the house, Fuhrman helped the Shoals Volunteer Fire Department with bringing the blaze under control.
