The FDA is approving this season’s updated Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines.
They’re designed to target the KP-2 strain and are approved for those 12 years and older.
Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel said that Covid remains “a significant health risk” and the shot “remains one of the best ways for people to be protected and prevent severe illness.”
The company said it expects the updated vaccine to be available soon.
