
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning in which a 70-year-old Washington man was killed.
Lester Linneweber died when the driver of a semi tractor trailer failed to yield the right of way and pulled from County Road 600 North into the path of Linneweber’s motorcycle which was southbound on County Road 100 West, or Edwardsport Road.
Linneweber was transported from the scene by ambulance and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The driver of the semi, 23-year-old Adenis Pepa from Brooklyn, New York, was transported from the scene by ambulance with minor injuries.
Pepa submitted to a chemical test with the results being negative for drugs or alcohol.
Once the investigation is complete, all reports will be submitted to the Daviess County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
