Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Evansville Man on Warrant & Drug Charges

An Evansville man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop early Thursday morning on I-64 in Gibson County.

A Gibson County Sheriff’s deputy determined 38-year-old Timothy Ray of Evansville had an outstanding warrant out of Ohio.

The deputy also began a roadside investigation after smelling marijuana coming from inside Ray’s vehicle.

Ray was arrested on the Ohio warrant as well as new charges of Possession of a Schedule Drug and Possession of Marijuana.
