Indiana State Police arrested a Daviess County man Saturday night after he fled a traffic stop for speeding on US 50 near 2nd Street in Loogootee.
61-year-old Steven Kiser of Odon led the trooper on a chase that reached speeds of over 80 miles an hour.
The pursuit continued into Daviess County where Kiser’s car left the roadway and ran over a mailbox.
He then turned around and drove back to Loogootee and pulled into a church parking area and stopped.
Kiser was taken into custody and charged with Resisting Law Enforcement with a Motor Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Crash, and Reckless Driving.
