
State health officials say the West Nile Virus has been detected in mosquitos in Greene County for the first time this year.
No human cases of the West Nile Virus disease have been detected this year.
However, the Indiana Department of Health expects WNV activity to continue across the state during mosquito season, which continues through the first hard freeze.
Health officials are urging Hoosiers to take steps to protect themselves from mosquito bites.
