The man accused of killing two teens in Delphi will soon be held in a different location.
Richard Allen has been housed at the Westville Correctional Facility — a maximum-security state prison — for 21 months after being arrested for the 2017 murders of Abby Williams and Libby German.
After three days of hearings, the special judge hearing the case granted a request from Allen’s defense team to vacate the safekeeping order under which he was being held at the prison.
He will next be in the custody of the Carroll County sheriff, but specifics on where he’ll be housed have not been made public.
