
A graduation ceremony for the 85th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy was held Thursday evening in the Indiana State Capitol Rotunda.
After the commencement address, the oath of office for the 21 new State Police Troopers was delivered by Justice Christopher Goff of the Indiana Supreme Court.
Each new Trooper was then presented with their badge and official identification by ISP Superintendent Douglas Carter and his staff.
The graduation marked the culmination of 24 weeks of intense training which totaled more than 1,100 hours.
One of the graduating troopers was Caleb Hughes of Sullivan who has been assigned to the Putnamville State Police Post.
