One Person Killed in SUV/Motorcycle Crash in Southern Vigo Co.

The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle in which one person was killed.

It happened late Saturday night at the intersection of US 41 and Woodsmall Drive in southern Vigo County.

The sheriff’s office says its preliminary investigation showed an SUV traveling southbound on US 41 pulled into the path of a northbound motorcycle while turning onto Woodsmall Drive.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff’s office says a chemical test on the driver of the SUV for drugs and alcohol returned negative.

A passenger in the SUV was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
