Patoka Man Arrested for DUI

A Patoka man has been charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, after police say they found him lying on the ground outside of his car Thursday night.

According to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, 74-year-old John Flaningam was on the ground near the Trade Mart on West Grave Street.

Officers could apparently smell alcohol, and they claim they saw an open bottle of booze in his car.

Flaningam was checked by a physician before being taken to the Gibson County Jail.
