Hydrant Flushing to Begin Monday in Sullivan

Indiana American Water will begin flushing fire hydrants throughout Sullivan starting on Monday, July 15th.

Depending on the weather, flushing operations should be complete by Friday, July the 19th.

The utility will flush one hydrant at a time, therefore the water supply and quality should not be affected.

There will be no boil order implemented.

Customers may experience reduced pressure or discolored water.

If your water is discolored, run the cold water taps only, at the lowest level of the house for about 3 to 5 minutes until the water runs clear.
