Clay County Continues Efforts to Recover from Cyberattack

A local disaster has been declared in Clay County due to a cyberattack.

As of Friday, all county officers were closed except for the Sheriff’s Office, Health Department and County Highway Department.

County 0fficials say they are working with law enforcement, government authorities, and cybersecurity experts to get back online and resume operations.

This closing includes all legal proceedings and services at the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office and both Circuit and Superior Courts.

The county has established a website to provide operating status updates at ClayCounty.IN.gov.
