The National Weather Service in Paducah Kentucky says a total of 6 separate tornadoes occurred across northwest Kentucky and southwest Indiana Tuesday afternoon and evening as the remnants of Beryl moved through.
The strongest tornado struck Mt. Vernon, Indiana and was rated EF-3 with winds of 140 miles an hour.
The next strongest, rated EF-2, was on the ground for over 8 miles from Poseyville to Johnson.
The other 4 tornadoes were rated EF-1.
