Indiana State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in Harrison County that claimed the life of a Daviess County man.
It happened around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon on eastbound I-64, about five miles west of the Corydon exit.
The ISP says 50-year-old Suresh Kumar Lohano of Washington, a doctor at Daviess Community Hospital, died when he drove his Tesla into the rear of a disabled semi tractor trailer in the passing lane.
The truck experienced a power failure, and the driver was unable to move to the right lane or the shoulder due to traffic.
Although the driver placed orange traffic triangles behind his disabled truck prior to the crash, Lohano failed to move to the right lane and hit the rear of the semi.
Police say the driver of the semi escaped injury.
