
Indiana State Police arrested a Perry County man early Monday morning on attempted murder and other charges.
Police say 32-year-old Tyler Richardson of St. Croix shot his neighbor late Sunday night in a dispute over a barking dog.
The neighbor, 32-year-old James Morris of Tell City, was shot when he started walking toward the property line.
Morris was unarmed and was visiting his in-laws.
He was transported to Harrison County Hospital by family members before being airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where he is currently being treated for gunshot wounds.
Richardson is being held in the Perry County Jail on charges of Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery, Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, Criminal Recklessness, and Pointing a Firearm.
