Evansville Father Arrested for Driving While Impaired after Crashing on I-64

An Evansville father is facing felony charges following a crash early Friday morning on I-64 in Warrick County.

While investigating a report of subjects walking along the highway, Indiana State Police found two adults and three children.

Their vehicle ran off the roadway and rolled over several times about a half mile down the highway.

Police say 27-year-old William Burdette displayed signs of impairment and had minor injuries.

The adult female and Burdette’s six-year-old daughter had minor injuries.

Burdette’s three-year-old and one-year-old sons were not injured.

Warrick County EMS checked everyone involved in the crash and further medical treatment was refused.

William Burdette was arrested for Felony Neglect of a Dependent, Felony Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with Passengers under the age of 18, and Misdemeanor Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.
