Paoli Police Attacked by Wanted Man

An Orange County man is facing a preliminary charge of Attempted Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer after he attempted to run over police officers who came to his home Sunday to arrest him on an outstanding warrant.

Paoli Police say Dustin Joy was also arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement, Dealing Meth, Possession of Meth, Possession of Syringe, Driving While Suspended and on a Jefferson County warrant.

Three others were also arrested.

Elizabeth Moon was arrested for Dealing Meth, Possession of Meth, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Tiffany Wood is facing charges of Possession of Meth, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

And, Chris McGaughey was arrested on a Felony warrant out of Lawrence County as well as new charges of Possession of Meth, Possession of Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Police say they were forced to shoot a pit bull mix when it attacked an officer.
