A Vincennes man is facing a preliminary charge of Attempted Murder, a Level 1 Felony, after police say he stabbed a woman Tuesday afternoon on Truman Drive.
Police say 27-year-old Dakota Haaff stabbed the woman twice in the chest.
She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital.
Authorities say Haaff barricaded himself inside a residence with several juvenile children.
Officers entered the residence and took him into custody.
Haaff was taken to the hospital for treatment before being booked into the Knox County Jail without bond.
In addition to Attempted Murder, Haaff is facing charges of Domestic Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon and Intimidation.
