Indianapolis Lawmaker Arrested For Impersonating Police Officer

Police in Indianapolis are not saying what a local lawmaker did to imply that he’s a cop too.

But state Rep. Dan Forestal is facing questions after his arrest Sunday for impersonating a police officer.

Indianapolis police say Forestal was drunk, so he was also arrested for drunk driving.

Forestal is an Indianapolis firefighter and has a badge as part of that job.

Police say they took it from him.

Forestal is due back in court in two weeks.

Neither his attorney nor the Indianapolis Fire Department is answering questions about his arrest.
