Hazleton Man Sentenced to 2 ½ Years for Stealing, Killing Ex-Girlfriend’s Dogs

A Pike County Circuit Court Judge sentenced a Hazleton man to 2 ½ years in prison Monday for killing and burning two dogs belonging to his ex-girlfriend.

A jury found 28-year-old Jordan Hunt guilty of Domestic Violence/Animal Cruelty in May.

Hunt is accused of taking the dogs from his ex-girlfriend’s home in Evansville in September of last year and shooting and burning them just outside of Hazleton.

Hunt still faces Burglary and Theft charges in Vanderburgh County in connection with the incident.
