Supporters of a stronger equal pay law in Illinois are hoping the third time is a charm.
For the third year in a row, the Illinois House has passed a bill banning employers from asking job applicants for their salary history and
strengthening wage gender discrimination statutes.
It’s supported by Representative John Carroll of Northbrook.
Similar bills have passed the last two years but were vetoed by then-governor Bruce Rauner.
This latest version now moves to the Senate.
