The Vincennes University Men’s Basketball team advanced to the Region 24 Championship after downing John A Logan College 84-68.  Michael Osei-Bonsu led the way for the Blazers with 33 points and 15 rebounds.  Logan Thomas added 21, while Kris King added 15.
The top seed-and number four national ranked Trailblazers will take on number six seed Wabash Valley in Friday nights final at 8pm at Rend Lake College.
The Vincennes University women’s basketball team takes on top seeded and second ranked Wabash Valley Tonight for the Region Championship.  The Lady Blazers are 19-10 while Wabash Valley is 26-2.  Tip-off from Lakeland College is 7pm.
There are a couple of high school girls softball scrimmages in the area today.
Vincennes Lincoln will host North Daviess at 5:30 at Four Lakes Park while North Knox welcomes defending 2-A champion North Posey at six.
Two Knox County players are on this years All Blue-Chip Conference Boys Basketball team.  Making the 12-player list were Sam Singleton of South Knox and Kade Groteguth of North Knox.  Conference Champion Barr-Reeve landed Donnie Miller, Seth Wagler and Brayten Knepp.  Loogootee placed Issac Wagner, Drew Walker and AJ Foster.  Northeast Dubois is represented by Grant Goller and Drew Schroering.  Shoals Maliki Bridges and Gavin Bingham of Wood Memorial.
