An outbreak of salmonella linked to ready-to-eat chicken now covers seven states, including Indiana.
The CDC says more than 100 people became sick this week after eating chicken salad that’s been recalled by Triple T Specialty Meats.
That brings the total to 170 since the outbreak began three weeks ago.
People got sick after eating chicken salad sold at Fareway grocery stores in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
People in Indiana and Texas also have been sickened.
More than 60 people have been hospitalized but no deaths are reported.
