If you have upcoming travel plans, the Washington Post Office will host a special Passport Fair on Saturday from 8:30 A.M until noon.
It’s recommended you factor in six weeks for application processing time.
Passport fees are $135 total for adults and $105 for persons under 16.
The Postal Service also offers a passport photo service at a cost of $15.
The application must be paid by cash or check.
Credit or debit cards, as well as cash or checks, may be used to cover the cost of photos and acceptance fees.
Applicants must complete an application form and provide either a U.S. birth certificate or naturalization papers.
Applicants must also show a valid driver’s license, a previous or current U.S. passport, naturalization certificate, citizenship certificate, military identification or a government employee identification card.
